Job summary
Memorial Hermann Health System is seeking a Registered Nurse to collaborate with physicians and the healthcare team in delivering comprehensive patient care using the nursing process.
Responsibilities include assessing patients, assisting with exams and treatments, patient education, and maintaining medical records. Certification requirements include BLS; ACLS, PALS are valued. Experience in PreOp and PACU is advantageous; ortho experience a plus.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing; BSN preferred
- Current State of Texas license to practice professional nursing
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS); additional certifications may be required
- Experience levels: RN I <1 year; RN II 1-3 years; RN III 3-10 years; RN IV 10+ years
- Effective oral and written communication skills
Responsibilities
- Delivers safe and appropriate care to patients according to nursing skills inventory and patient needs
- Coordinates nursing care planning with an interdisciplinary team
- Collaborates with and may delegate to the healthcare team to achieve positive outcomes
- Develops discharge and transfer plans as part of the patient's care
- Demonstrates compassionate, personalized service and adheres to professional and regulatory standards
