Job summary

Longmont United Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for the PACU unit to contribute to a collaborative, multi-department surgical care environment. The role emphasizes patient-centered care across Preop, PACU, GI, and Infusion services with opportunity for diverse experience.

The unit handles numerous procedures monthly with a strong focus on teamwork, professional development, and adherence to nursing standards. On-call within 30 minutes of the facility is required.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Nursing is required.
• RN License in state of employment is required.
• Physical requirements: Medium work, lift up to 50 lbs, frequent up to 20 lbs, constant up to 10 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient’s physical, psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual needs through observation, interview, review of medical records & clinical data.
• Develop and implement patient plan of care and observe outcomes in accordance with nursing standards and in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
• Demonstrate competency in therapeutic/diagnostic interventions including IVs, wound care, medication administration, catheterization, and specimen collection.
• Document ongoing status, interventions, patient response and outcomes in an accurate, timely manner.
• Use information technology to communicate, manage knowledge, mitigate error, and support decision-making.
• Promote, advocate, and collaborate to protect the health and safety and rights of each patient.
• Provide patient/family education through assessment of learning readiness, needs, and ability.

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing

Nursing Diploma or by endorsement

RN License in state of employment
