Job summary

Incredible Health in Rahway, New Jersey, is seeking a PACU RN to provide immediate post-operative care in a busy hospital setting. You will monitor vital signs, administer medications, and collaborate with surgeons and anesthesiologists to transition patients from the operating room to PACU and discharge home.

The ideal candidate holds an ADN or higher, an active RN license, BLS and ACLS, and strong teamwork and EMR skills.

Qualifications

• ADN or higher in nursing
• Active RN license
• 1 year PACU/ICU experience preferred
• BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, team oriented
• Proficient in electronic medical record systems

Responsibilities

• Provide immediate post-operative care and monitor vital signs
• Administer prescribed medications and implement treatment plans
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical teams for smooth transitions
• Educate patients and families on post-operative care and wound management
• Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with hospital policies

Hospitals on Incredible Health are actively hiring and accepting applications in the Rahway, NJ area for the following position: PACU RN. Nurses with experience in any of the following areas are strongly encouraged to apply: Cardiac Monitoring, Circulate, Pediatric, Presurgical assessment, Robotic surgery, Transplant, or Wound & drain care.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree (ADN) or above in nursing
• Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse license
• 1 year experience in a PACU, ICU, or a similar high-acuity setting preferred
• BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications from the American Heart Association
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team
• Proficient in electronic medical record systems

Responsibilities

• Provide immediate post-operative care to a variety of surgical patients, monitoring vital signs, and managing symptoms of anesthesia
• Administer prescribed medications and implement treatment plans as directed by medical staff
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical teams to ensure seamless patient transition from the operating room to the PACU to discharge home
• Educate patients and their families on post-operative care, including pain management, wound care, and potential complications
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with hospital policies and procedures

Salary: $70,920 to $117,990 /year
