Job summary

Haymarket Surgery Center, under United Surgical Partners International, is seeking an experienced PACU Registered Nurse for per diem coverage in Haymarket, VA.

The role focuses on continuous PACU care, post-anesthesia assessment, and collaboration with physicians to ensure patient safety and readiness for discharge. Candidates should hold an active RN license, and have BLS/ACLS; PACU or critical care experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
• Active RN license in the state.
• BLS and ACLS Required, PALS if required by the center.
• 2 years experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred.
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment.
• Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet the needs of patients and the unit.
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuous and quality nursing care for all patients in PACU with ongoing evaluation of patient condition.
• Assist physicians in procedure rooms with tasks, conscious sedation, and sterile techniques as appropriate.
• Deliver total, comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation; assess, plan, implement, and evaluate for discharge readiness.

PRN PACU RN

Haymarket Surgery Center is a leading multispecialty surgery center committed to providing exceptional patient care in a state-of-the-art facility. We are dedicated to excellence and seek experienced professionals to join our team.

The PACU Registered Nurse provides continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patient's condition, providing patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times. May assist the physicians in the procedure rooms with various tasks, conscious sedation, and utilizing sterile techniques as deemed appropriate. Will provide total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation; assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient and family in preparation for discharge.
