Job summary

Incredible Health is seeking a PACU RN in El Paso, TX to provide post-operative care and monitor patients recovering from surgery. The role requires collaboration with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and the surgical team to ensure safe transitions from operating room to PACU and discharge.

Ideal candidates hold an ADN or higher nursing degree, an active RN license, BLS/ACLS certifications, and EMR proficiency. Shifts include day, night and mid; full-time, part-time and per diem options available.

Qualifications

• ADN or higher nursing degree is required.
• Active and unencumbered RN license in Texas.
• 1 year PACU/ICU or high-acuity setting experience preferred.
• BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Proficient use of electronic medical records.

Responsibilities

• Provide immediate post-operative care and monitor vital signs.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments as directed.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists and staff for smooth transitions.
• Educate patients and families on post-operative care and potential complications.
• Maintain accurate documentation per hospital policies.

Nurses with experience in any of the following areas are strongly encouraged to apply: Cardiac Monitoring, Circulate, Pediatric, Presurgical assessment, Robotic surgery, Transplant, or Wound & drain care.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree (ADN) or above in nursing
• Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse license
• 1 year experience in a PACU, ICU, or a similar high-acuity setting preferred
• BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications from the American Heart Association
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team
• Proficient in electronic medical record systems

Responsibilities

• Provide immediate post-operative care to a variety of surgical patients, monitoring vital signs, and managing symptoms of anesthesia
• Administer prescribed medications and implement treatment plans as directed by medical staff
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical teams to ensure seamless patient transition from the operating room to the PACU to discharge home
• Educate patients and their families on post-operative care, including pain management, wound care, and potential complications
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with hospital policies and procedures

Salary: $48,830 to $97,750 /year
