Qualifications
Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse
Current certification in Basic Life Support / Pediatric Advanced Life Support
ACLS certification must be obtained within one year of employment
Minimum of one year of experience in a surgical/operating room environment preferred
Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care to individuals in pre-surgical, operative and recovery periods; collaborate with medical staff daily to coordinate care.
Adhere to compliance standards and state nursing acts; follow ASC philosophies and standards of care.
Provide emotional and psychological support to patients, families and friends.
Maintain a safe, clean working environment by following procedures and regulations; seek assistance when needed.
Protect patients and staff by infection-control, medication handling and controlled substance procedures.
Maintain patient confidentiality and secure information in all communications.
