Job summary

Eyecare Partners Surgery Center in Wichita, KS seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) for Pre-Op, Post-Op, and PACU. The RN will assess, plan, implement, and document nursing care following federal/state standards.

They are accountable for the quality of care and will participate in patient care in a clean, safe environment. Responsibilities include supervising in OR, ensuring standard practices, maintaining records, and supporting a healthy work environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program required.
• BSN degree preferred.
• One year of nursing experience in perioperative settings preferred (surgical/ASC/PACU/OR).

Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct patient care in a single Operating Room.
• Ensure proper techniques in line with standards of practice.
• Follow HIPAA and patient rights.
• Report unusual occurrences to charge personnel and document in records.
• Supervise staff in the room and assist as needed.
• Demonstrate nursing accountability through coordination and continuity of care.
• Assess, prioritize, plan and implement patient care efficiently.
• Maintain accurate medical records.
• Participate in continuing education and QAPI.
• Follow physician orders and management directions.
• Contribute to a healthy work environment.
• Assist in training new staff.
• Balance team and individual responsibilities.
• Collaborate with other departments.
