Job summary

BayCare Health System seeks a Registered Nurse for the PACU team in Same Day Surgery at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Tampa, FL. The RN will provide perioperative patient care, monitor recovery, and collaborate with anesthesia and surgical staff.

Qualified candidates have an RN license, BLS and ACLS certifications, and 2 years of RN experience (PACU experience with adults and pediatrics preferred). This is a full-time, on-site position with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• BLS Certification is required.
• RN license is required.
• ACLS Certification is required.
• Nurse Specialty certification is preferred.
• Associates degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma is required.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Independently caring for a group of patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards.
• Delegating appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team.
• Professional accountability and development.
• Direct contact with the patient and supervision as needed.
• Performing the role of preceptor and charge nurse when assigned.
