Job summary

BayCare Health System's St. Joseph's Hospital in Tampa, FL is seeking an RN to join the PACU, Same Day Surgery team. The RN will provide direct patient care using the nursing process, delegate tasks to the care team, and maintain professional accountability.

The role requires an RN license, BLS and ACLS, and an Associate degree (BSN preferred). Two years of RN experience with PACU and pediatric patients is preferred. Shifts are days from 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM, full-time; EOE.

Qualifications

• RN must possess strong patient-centered communication and teamwork.
• Ability to apply the nursing process to direct patient care.
• Demonstrates critical thinking and clinical judgment in PACU settings.
• Experience with pediatric patients in PACU preferred.

Responsibilities

• Independently caring for a group of patients using the nursing process.
• Delegating appropriate patient care activities to the health care team.
• Professional accountability and development.
• Direct contact with the child and providing personal care supervision.
• Serve as preceptor and charge nurse when assigned.
