Job summary

Columbia Endoscopy Surgery Center is hiring a PRN PACU Registered Nurse to join our operating suite team. You will provide continuity and quality nursing care for patients emerging from anesthesia, ensuring safety, comfort, and privacy throughout recovery.

Responsibilities include ongoing assessment, planning and evaluation of care, discharge readiness, and assisting physicians with procedures, including conscious sedation and sterile technique.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
• Active RN license in the state of Ohio.
• BLS and ACLS required (PALS if required by the center).
• 2 years of PACU or Critical Care experience preferred.
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
• Ability to prioritize and organize workload.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive patient care to individuals emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation.
• Perform assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care for both patients and families in preparation for discharge.
• Assisting physicians as needed with tasks in the procedure rooms, including conscious sedation and utilizing sterile techniques as appropriate.

The PACU Registered Nurse provides continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patient's condition to ensure safety, comfort, and privacy at all times. This role includes:

• Providing comprehensive patient care to individuals emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation.
• Performing assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care for both patients and families in preparation for discharge.
• Assisting physicians as needed with tasks in the procedure rooms, including conscious sedation and utilizing sterile techniques as appropriate.
