Job summary

Columbia River Surgery Center in Oregon is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse PreOp PACU to provide continuous, quality nursing care for patients from pre-op to recovery, with a focus on safety and privacy. The role involves assisting physicians in the procedure rooms and caring for patients emerging from anesthesia.

This fast-paced, multi-specialty ambulatory surgery center emphasizes efficient, high-quality care and patient experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
• Active RN license in Oregon.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS accredited by AHA.
• Experience in PreOp, PostOp, or Critical Care.
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment.
• Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet the needs of patients and the unit.
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuity and quality nursing care for all patients with continual evaluation of the patient's condition, prioritizing safety, comfort and privacy.
• Assist physicians in procedure rooms with tasks including conscious sedation and sterile technique as appropriate.
• Provide total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia or sedation, including assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation for discharge.

Columbia River Surgery Center is a fast-paced, multi-specialty, Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) environment committed to producing the highest quality work and experience for patients and their families.

What You Will Do (Job Summary)

The Registered Nurse PreOp PACU provides continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patient's condition, providing patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times. May assist the physicians in the procedure rooms with various tasks, including conscious sedation, and utilizing sterile techniques as deemed appropriate. Will provide total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation; assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient and family in preparation for discharge

Monday-Friday work schedule

NO call required

NO Nights, NO Weekends, NO Holiday work hours
