Job summary

Tidelands Health seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) for PACU to provide high-quality post-anesthesia nursing care at our hospital. The role emphasizes monitoring recovery, vital signs, pain control, and collaboration with the care team to ensure timely interventions and smooth patient transitions.

The position requires an ADN with preferred BSN/MSN, and experience in PACU/critical care. BLS is required within 30 days; ACLS preferred.

Qualifications

• Works with patients, families, physicians, and other health care providers.

Responsibilities

• Monitor post-operative patients' levels of consciousness during recovery from anesthesia.
• Measure and record patients' vital signs.
• Observe patients for signs of anesthesia side effects.
• Treat pain, nausea, and other post-operative symptoms.
• Update charts and medical records.
• Collaborate with the medical team on post-operative patient care.
• Provide comfort to patients and families and educate on post-surgery care.
