Job summary

HCA Florida Palms West Hospital is seeking a PACU Registered Nurse to provide post-operative care for surgical patients in a fast-paced environment. You will monitor neurological and cardiac status, manage airway support, and assist with initial wound care while coordinating with the surgical and anesthesia teams.

The role includes on-call availability during select non-business hours and opportunities to work with an interdisciplinary team to ensure patient safety and high-quality care.

Qualifications

• RN license and current state licensure required.
• ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications must be obtained within 30 days of start date.
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or equivalent is required.
• RN with active practice in a hospital setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in the PACU.
• Monitor patients’ neurological and cardiac status post-surgery.
• Perform airway support and initial wound care as needed.
• Collaborate with surgical and anesthesia teams for patient safety.
• Respond promptly to complications and educate patients and families.
