Job summary

HCA Houston Healthcare Clear Lake is seeking a Registered Nurse in the PACU to provide immediate post-operative care, monitor patients, and support the surgical team. You will manage airway support, monitor neurological and cardiac status, and address complications as they arise.

This role requires ACLS, BCLS, and NIH Stroke Scale within specified timeframes, an RN license, and at least 1 year of acute care RN experience. On-call responsibilities are possible based on staffing needs.

Qualifications

• RN license/registration required.
• ACLS certification within 6 months of start date.
• BCLS certification within 30 days of start date.
• NIH Stroke Scale certification within 6 months of start date.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in the PACU setting.
• Collaborate with surgical and anesthesia teams to support post-operative patients.
• Monitor patient conditions, document changes, and adjust care as needed.
• Provide initial wound care and ensure patient stability during recovery.
• Be available for on-call as discussed during interview.
