Job summary

HCA Houston Healthcare Clear Lake Heart Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for the PACU with on-call responsibilities. You will provide immediate post-operative care, manage airway support, monitor neurological and cardiac status, and respond promptly to complications.

On-call availability will be discussed during interview. You will work with a dynamic team, including surgeons and anesthesia, to ensure patient stability and high-quality recovery.

Qualifications

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 6 months of employment start date
• Basic Cardiac Life Support within 30 days of employment start date
• NIH Stroke Scale within 6 months of employment start date
• RN - Registered Nurse licensure

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care while following evidence-based practices.
• Collaborate with the surgical and anesthesia teams to ensure patient safety.
• Independently apply the nursing process and monitor patient condition throughout shifts.
• Document changes in patient condition and care provided accurately.
• Educate patients and families about medical conditions, treatments and follow-up measures
