Job summary

HCA Houston Healthcare Clear Lake Heart Hospital in Webster, TX, is seeking a PACU RN. You will provide immediate post-operative care, manage airway support, monitor neurological and cardiac status, and participate in on-call coverage with a 30-minute response time.

You will collaborate with surgeons and anesthesia, educate patients and families, and contribute to continuous improvement in perioperative care. A strong focus on safety and teamwork defines this role.

Qualifications

• ACLS must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date.
• BCLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• NIH Stroke Scale must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date.
• RN - Registered Nurse credential required.
• Associate Degree required.
• 1 year RN Critical Care experience in an acute care setting.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care while applying evidence-based practices.
• Be an integral member of a dynamic interdisciplinary team with surgeons and anesthesia.
• Independently deliver safe nursing care using the nursing process, critical thinking, and clinical judgment.
• Assess patient condition, monitor changes, and document care provided.
• Educate patients and families about medical condition, treatment, and follow-up.
