Job summary

Mercy South PACU in Illinois is seeking a registered nurse for full-time day shifts. You will apply the nursing process to provide direct patient care in a fast-paced post-anesthesia care unit, monitor patients, and collaborate with surgeons and other team members.

Candidates must hold an RN license (state or compact), have/obtain BLS, and graduate from an accredited nursing program (AD, Diploma or BSN). Mercy offers strong benefits, tuition assistance, PTO, and retirement plans.

Qualifications

• Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
• Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.
• Certifications: Basic Life Support certification or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care.
• Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients.
• Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments.
• Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information.
