Job summary

Corpus Christi Medical Center Bay Area, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) on a PRN basis. The role focuses on managing the surgical patient in recovery with strong clinical judgment and teamwork.

You will perform nursing assessments, apply the nursing process, and collaborate with care teams to ensure safe, high-quality outcomes while maintaining compassionate patient communication and professional standards.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing is required.
• 1 year of clinical experience as a Registered Nurse in a Recovery Room setting is required.
• Current RN License in Texas or Multi-State Compact License; Texas license within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Care for and manage the surgical patient in the post-anesthesia period.
• Apply the nursing process with critical thinking and leadership to deliver safe care.
• Collaborate with the patient care team to achieve quality outcomes.
• Demonstrate communication and professionalism in unit and organizational activities.
