Job summary

Ascension Saint Thomas Midtown in Nashville, TN, is seeking a dedicated RN for the PACU in a Day, Full-time schedule. The role requires an RN with ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications and a Diploma from an accredited nursing program. Join a team focused on patient-centered recovery and high standards of care.

You will contribute to aseptic technique, pain management, and efficient OR/PACU workflows while coordinating discharge planning with families and healthcare teams.

Qualifications

• ACLS within 6 months of hire date.
• BLS within 1 month of hire date.
• PALS within 6 months of hire date.
• Registered Nurse credentialed before hire date.

Responsibilities

• Maintain aseptic sterile techniques per AORN and ASPAN standards to prevent infections.
• Assess physical and psychological patient status and manage pain to support recovery.
• Coordinate with OR/PACU teams to optimize workflow and patient care.
• Lead multidisciplinary discharge planning for seamless transitions of care.
