Job summary

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure from the State of Oklahoma required.
• ADN required; BSN preferred.
• BLS required.
• ACLS required within 3 months of employment.
• PALS required within 6 months of employment.
• ICU experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess the nursing needs of the patient and initiate the plan of care using the nursing process.
• Promote patient dignity and quality of care as a patient advocate and educator.
• Coordinate interdisciplinary care with goals, treatment plans, and discharge plans to meet patient/family needs.
• Conduct hourly rounds to improve safety and nurse communication.
• Participate in bedside reports to address questions and progress with patients and families.
• Inform and support patients and families about hospital care delivery and policies.
• Follow SBAR handoff practices to minimize risks during transitions of care.
• Demonstrate competent clinical skills, critical thinking, and nursing judgment.
• Adhere to facility policies to promote patient safety, including medication administration and equipment safety.
• Incorporate patient data from multiple sources to identify problems and coordinate interventions.
• Maintain confidentiality and advocate for patient involvement in care planning.
• Evaluate changes in patient condition and communicate with the physician and care team.
• Perform other duties as required and assigned.
