Job summary
Ascension Sacred Heart Pensacola in Pensacola, FL, is seeking a dedicated PACU/Recovery RN to provide specialized postoperative care for anesthetized patients in the immediate recovery period. You will follow AORN and ASPAN aseptic standards, monitor patient responses, manage pain, and anticipate needs based on surgical procedures.
Florida RN licensure and relevant certifications are required. This rotating, part-time role offers opportunities for professional growth and a team-focused
Qualifications
- Advanced Life Support (ACLS) within 6 months of hire
- BLS Provider within 1 month of hire
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 6 months of hire
- Registered Nurse license in Florida (or multi-state Compact) before hire
- Graduate of a Registered Nursing program
Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care for anesthetized patients in immediate post-operative recovery.
- Adhere to AORN and ASPAN standards, maintaining aseptic technique.
- Continuously assess patient responses, manage post-operative pain, and evaluate recovery progress.
- Anticipate complications based on surgical procedures and underlying pathophysiology.
