Job summary

Universal Health Services in California is seeking a Patient Care Technician to support the PACU team with vital sign monitoring, patient transport, safety, and comfort during recovery. The role requires current California Certified Nurse Assistant or EMT, BLS through the American Heart Association, and optional dysrhythmia certification within 6 months; hospital experience preferred.

You may float between Inland Valley and Rancho Springs Hospitals as needed, with orientation provided.

Qualifications

• NONE
• Current California Certified Nurse Assistant Certificate or California EMT
• BLS through the American Heart Association
• Basic dysrhythmia certification (preferred) or obtained within 6 months of hire
• Six (6) months’ experience working as an EMT/CNA preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and support to the PACU team, including vital signs monitoring.
• Assist with patient transport, safety measures, and comfort during recovery.
• Document care in the electronic medical record and report changes in patient condition.
• Support emergency response as needed and help maintain a safe PACU environment.
