Job summary

Mass General Brigham is hiring a Patient Care Assistant for the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). The role supports patients with daily living activities, vital signs, and basic care under licensed staff. A sign-on bonus of $750 is offered for eligible new employees.

Flexible day/night shifts with weekend requirements and a 40-hour weekly schedule are available. The PACU handles post-op patients in a 111-bed unit; prior inpatient acute care experience is preferred, along with professional

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
• One year inpatient acute care experience preferred.
• Licensure or certification preferred (BLS, CMA, EMT, or CNA).
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds and use EMR systems.

Responsibilities

• Performs vital signs, weights/heights, intakes and outputs.
• Completes documentation in the medical record.
• Interacts with patients and families effectively.
• Aids with bathing, dressing, eating and basic hygiene tasks.
• Assists with turning and repositioning in bed and moving patients to wheelchairs.
• Listens to health concerns and reports to nurses.
