Mass General Brigham is seeking a Patient Care Assistant for the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) in Boston. This onsite role supports post-operative patients with daily living activities, vital signs, and documentation under licensed supervision. A sign-on bonus is offered for eligible new hires.

The PACU serves 111 bays with patients recovering from anesthesia before transfer to an inpatient unit. The role requires flexibility for day/night shifts and weekend coverage.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
• Experience in patient care/elder care 0-1 years preferred.
• BLS, CMA/NCMA, EMT-B or Nursing Assistant credentials preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs vital signs, weights/heights, intakes, and outputs with accuracy.
• Completes documentation in the medical record as required.
• Interacts with patients and families effectively.
• Assists with basic hygiene tasks (bathing, dressing, feeding).
• Assists patients turning/repositioning and moving between bed and wheelchair.
