Job summary

Children's of Alabama in Birmingham seeks a PACU support role to assist in patient care after surgery. You will work under RNs and LPNs to provide communication and assistive care for patients, families, and staff in a fast-paced pediatric PACU environment.

Shift coverage spans Day/Evening, 8:00am-6:30pm, Monday to Friday with rotating days and on-call requirements. A High School diploma or GED and BLS certification are required, with 1 year of relevant patient care experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must complete Children's of Alabama Clinical Care Partners program after hire.
• Current Basic Life Support certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistive care and communication for patients, staff, and visitors.
• Assist RNs and LPNs in the PACU under supervision.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
