Job summary

Sentara Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk, VA, is seeking a Manager of Surgical Services to lead the Main Operating Room and PACU. The role oversees OR, PACU and related perioperative services, with responsibility for staffing, scheduling, and quality outcomes.

The position requires RN with a Bachelor's degree, 3+ years in the OR and 3+ years in supervision; Master's degree preferred. Excellent benefits and career advancement are offered.

Qualifications

• RN-Bachelor's Degree required.
• 3 years Operating Room experience.
• 3 years supervisory experience.
• Master's degree in nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assume responsibility and accountability for operations and success.
• Deliver high quality services meeting/exceeding customer expectations.
• Safe management of patients throughout perioperative experience.
• Mentor staff per surgeon expectations and clinical standards.
• Manage 2 direct reports and oversight of ~125 indirect reports.
• Oversee General/ENT/Trauma, Vascular/Podiatry, GYN/Eyes/Plastics/Orientees.
• Hire RNs including Call and Holiday schedules.
