Job summary

Global Placement Firm is partnering with a healthcare organization in Fredericksburg, VA to hire an RN Manager for the PACU. This leadership role oversees 24-hour supervision of Same Day Surgery, PAT, PACU, Endoscopy, combining hands-on clinical leadership with operations.

The ideal candidate will have a BSN (RN), VA license, BLS, 2 years perioperative experience, and prior charge nurse experience. The department includes 4 ORs and 12 pre-op bays; the role features day shift, potential rotating

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required.
BSN required; Masters degree in nursing or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

Direct and oversee daily operations of the Pre-Op, PAT, PACU, and Endoscopy units, ensuring safe, efficient patient care.
Manage staff scheduling, productivity, and daily workflow to maintain optimal patient throughput.
Ensure efficient utilization of staff, equipment, and supplies while maintaining fiscal responsibility.
Participate in and lead quality improvement initiatives and regulatory compliance efforts.
Maintain a high standard of clinical care by mentoring nursing staff and providing resources.
Develop, evaluate, and coach team members; conduct performance reviews and competency assessments.
Collaborate with surgical services leadership to improve communication, patient safety, and operational outcomes.
Maintain a safe environment of care, adhering to risk management and patient safety standards.
