Job summary

TriStar Southern Hills Medical Center is seeking a PACU Registered Nurse to provide immediate post-operative care for surgical patients. You will monitor neurological and cardiac status, manage airway support, and deliver initial wound care while collaborating with the surgical and anesthesia teams.

The role includes on-call availability during select non-business hours, with staffing support from RN float pools and supporting staff to ensure patient safety and continuity of care.

Qualifications

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 6 months of start date.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of start date.
• PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support within 6 months of start date.
• RN: Registered Nurse eligibility and licensure.
• Associate Degree in nursing.
• Minimum 1 year of critical care experience (ICU/ER/PACU).

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care while applying evidence-based practices.
• Be an integral member of a dynamic interdisciplinary team with providers, therapy and more.
• Consistently apply nursing process, critical thinking, and leadership to deliver safe nursing care.
• Assess patient condition, monitor during shift, and document changes thoroughly.
• Educate patients and families about medical conditions, treatments and follow-up.
