Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Nursing Assistant/Support role for the PACU per diem day shifts in New Jersey. You will provide administrative, clerical, and patient care support under RN supervision, ensuring patient comfort and safety and helping with admissions, discharges and daily unit operations.

Responsibilities include data entry into the EMR, updating census boards, relocating supplies, and maintaining regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• No licensure required.

• Able to use basic computer systems and software.
• Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative, clerical and patient care support on inpatient nursing units.
• Assist with admissions, discharges and transfers to promote patient flow.
• Enter data into electronic medical records and update census displays.
• Organize work areas and maintain supplies to ensure efficient unit operations.
• Respond to inquiries from physicians, staff and families with discretion and empathy.
• Assist with basic patient care activities under RN supervision.
