Job summary

GBMC HealthCare in Towson, MD is seeking a Preop/PACU LPN to work 4 shifts per week, 9:00am–6:30pm, under RN supervision. The role involves direct patient care, data gathering for assessments, care plan collaboration, patient education, and timely documentation.

Required Maryland LPN license; CPR certification not required for Hospice employee. Minimum one year acute care experience preferred; strong communication and teamwork are essential in this fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Current licensure as LPN with Maryland State Board of Examiners of Nurses.
• Experience in acute care preferred (1 year).
• Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assists in gathering data to assess patient needs and plan care.
• Collaborates with RN and care team to update care plans.
• Delivers direct patient care and documents outcomes in medical record.
• Provides patient and family education and reinforcement of instructions.
• Initiates emergency measures when necessary and prepares patients for tests/procedures.
• Administers and documents medications per policy and procedure.
• Reports patient condition changes to RN with concise updates.
