Job summary

Qualifications

• Knowledge of nursing theory and practice acquired through an accredited school of nursing.
• One-year acute care experience preferred.
• Current Maryland LPN license or eligibility as required by GBMC HealthCare.

Responsibilities

• Assist in gathering data to assess the physical, psychological, social, and spiritual needs of patients.
• Collaborate with the registered nurse and team members in planning for patient needs on admission.
• Review care plans and provide input for updates and revisions.
• Support direct patient care utilizing clinical nursing skills and judgment.
• Educate patients and families, document outcomes in the medical record.
• Initiate emergency measures when needed and prepare patients for tests and procedures.
