Qualifications

  • 2-3 years experience with adults dealing with Serious Mental Illness (SMI).
  • Ability to transport clients in an insured vehicle.
  • CPR and First Aid certification required within 2 weeks of hire.

Schedule:Mon, Wed-Fri 8 am-6 pm or Mon - Fri 8 am-4 pm, Rotating weekends required

Salary:$53,485 / year

Sign On Bonus:$5000; $1666 upon completion of 30 days, $1666 upon completion of 6 months, $1667 upon completion of 9 months

The Resource Specialist works as part of the Program for Assertive Community Treatment (PACT) multidisciplinary team and has the responsibility to carry out rehabilitation and support functions and assist in treatment; monitors symptoms; assists in assessments and development of the persons served Individual Action Plan (IAP); educates team on recovery and rehabilitation practices and acts as a resource on community resources including social/recreational and benefits.

Job Responsibilities

  • Act as a member of the individual treatment team for an assigned number of persons served.
  • Participate in the persons served-centered comprehensive assessment of psychiatric history, mental status, and diagnosis, physical and dental health, use of drugs or alcohol, education, employment, social development and functioning, activities of daily living as well as family structure and relationships
  • Consult with community agencies and families to maintain coordination in the treatment process
  • Participate in Daily Organizational Meeting (DOM) and Individual Treatment Team (ITT) meetings
  • Participate in providing treatment and dual diagnosis services
  • Provide on-call crisis intervention covering nighttime and weekend hours with clinical supervision and support
  • Other duties as required

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in human services, psychology or related field strongly preferred. In some cases experience may be substituted for education
  • Two to three years experience with adults dealing with Serious Mental Illness (SMI) or with individuals with similar needs
  • Strong commitment to the right and ability of program person served to live, work, and seek supports as the general population at large
  • Skills and competence to establish supportive trusting relationships with program persons served
  • Ability to work independently as well as a part of a multi-disciplinary team
  • All applicants must be at least 21 years of age and have a current, valid, US drivers' license for at least 6 months. Additionally, this position requires a fully insured vehicle that you will use in the course of your daily work. You must be willing to transport clients in your vehicle.
  • All candidates must be able to successfully pass a CORI, reference, multi-state background, professional licensure and driving record check.
  • All candidates must be able to be CPR and First Aid certified within two weeks of hire
