Job summary

U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs is recruiting a full-time PACT Physician Assistant for the Dayton VA Medical Center's Primary Care Service.

The PA will dedicate 100% of time to PACT responsibilities, participate in educational programs for staff, and help ensure quality, safety, and appropriateness of patient care. Responsibilities include chart reviews, committee participation, and regular attendance at monthly management and quarterly COS meetings.

Qualifications

• 100% time working PACT.
• Participate in educational programs for service personnel and medical staff.
• Monitor quality, safety, and appropriateness of patient care in Primary Care.
• Demonstrate ethical conduct and serve as a positive role model.

Responsibilities

• Work Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; may require unscheduled hours for emergencies.
• Participate in quality assurance programs, peer reviews, and chart reviews.
• Attend Primary Care Service monthly management meetings and COS quarterly meetings.
• Complete medical records in accordance with bylaws and rules of the Primary Care Staff.
• Represent Primary Care Service in communications with other clinical, ancillary and administrative services.
