Job summary

Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust seeks a senior IT lead to manage PACS/RIS systems and imaging workflows across the regional network. You will plan resources, drive projects, and ensure secure, reliable services while coordinating with clinical teams and suppliers.

Your role includes designing workflows, overseeing budgets, and delivering BI reporting to support performance and mandatory reporting requirements, with line management responsibility for the PACS/RIS team.

Qualifications

• Degree level in an IT-related subject or equivalent PACS/RIS experience.
• Post-Graduate management qualification or equivalent experience.
• Prince 2 Foundation / ITIL Foundation, demonstrable PACS & RIS management experience.
• Experience in supervisory management including recruitment, attendance and performance issues.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, implementation, configuration and day-to-day management of PACS, RIS and imaging systems.
• Design and improve clinical imaging workflows including electronic requesting, results reporting and image exchange.
• Manage complex projects, business cases, suppliers, risks, budgets and reporting to governance groups.
• Develop data warehouse and BI reporting to support performance, waiting-times and mandatory reporting.
• Line manage PACS/RIS administrators and oversee training and user support.
• Provide technical leadership and ensure secure, resilient PACS/RIS services.
