Job summary

Compnova is seeking an experienced Packet Core Engineer on a remote C2C basis to deliver professional services for 5G core deployments across the USA and Canada. You will own end-to-end validation, MOP execution, NF instantiation (CMM/CMG/AMF), and cross-vendor integration, working with SA SMEs to ensure reliability and high availability.

Detailed Job Description:

As a Packet Core Engineer supporting Compnova in a remote capacity across the USA and Canada, you will take full operational, tactical, and technical ownership of core network instantiation, professional services integration, verification testing, and maintenance window execution across mission-critical telecommunications infrastructure. Your day-to-day responsibilities include serving as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for specific Packet Core Network Functions including CMM, CMG, and AMF instantiation, deployment, and integration, performing complex vertical and horizontal integration of network functions across distributed cloud environments, collaborating closely with Packet Core Design and Solution Architecture (SA) SMEs to validate and implement end-to-end solutions, executing deployments using approved Methods of Procedure (MOPs) developed during FOA/FSA or supporting greenfield deployments, conducting horizontal, vertical, and end-to-end verification testing along with network health checks and Acceptance Test Procedure (ATP) testing, supporting scheduled maintenance windows for the introduction of new Network Functions (NFs), troubleshooting deployment and integration issues to ensure successful implementation, preparing comprehensive technical documentation of test results, MOP execution logs, and operational runbooks, and ensuring strict compliance with remote work arrangements across the USA and Canada and C2C contract hire terms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Packet Core Network Functions including CMM, CMG, and AMF instantiation and integration.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum of 5+ years of progressive professional experience in packet core network deployment, integration, and professional services.
• Strong, demonstrable hands-on professional expertise in CMM, CMG, and/or AMF core network functions.
• Comprehensive working knowledge and practical proficiency in network function instantiation, verification, and end-to-end testing.
• Deep practical experience in MOP execution, greenfield deployments, and multi-vendor core network integration.
• Solid practical experience conducting health checks, ATP testing, and supporting scheduled maintenance windows.
