Job summary

Saint-Gobain is seeking a Packer to support production operations at the site. The role emphasizes safety, efficient packaging, palletizing, and material handling, with reporting to the Plant Manager.

Prior SAP and heavy equipment experience are beneficial. Responsibilities include operating forklifts, coordinating with shifts, maintaining clean work areas, and providing production line support through pallet movement and packaging tasks.

Qualifications

• High School/GED diploma preferred.
• 1 year experience in a manufacturing environment as an operator or lead role.
• Knowledge of plant manufacturing in an industrial maintenance environment (24 hr continuous).
• Strong customer service focus and collaborative approach.
• Familiar with SAP, Microsoft Office Suite, and web tools.
• Heavy equipment experience/certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follows safety policies and programs; ensures individual and team safety.
• Operates mill-related equipment and observes/he competes heavy equipment.
• Can operate a forklift and water truck; inspects mobile equipment.
• Moves finished product from line; palletize, label, and stack for storage.
• Supply production line with pallets, bags, and wrapping materials.
• Inspect packaging materials before changeovers; return after production.
