Job summary

Green Bay Packaging Inc. in Wisconsin is seeking an on-site Forklift Operator to load and unload materials, move goods to staging areas, and assist with production flow. You will operate forklifts, verify loads, and support inventory control while following safety guidelines.

The role requires attention to safety, basic math and reading skills, and may involve RF scanner use. Comprehensive benefits are offered; a valid license and clean driving record are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Good math, language and reading skills; basic computer skills may be required.
• High degree of attention required to prevent injury to others; promote a safe work environment.
• Follow instructions for operating equipment and keeping records.
• Execute assignments in an accurate, timely and safe manner.
• May be required to use an RF scanner gun.
• Clean driving record and a valid state motor vehicle operator’s license may be required.
• Class A license preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Operates powered industrial trucks to load and unload materials and deliveries.
• Transports material to and from designated areas in the facility.
• Provide raw or WHIP stock to production machines per the production schedule.
• Load and unload goods from vehicles.
• Move goods on pallets or slip sheets around the storage facility.
• Stack goods in storage bays according to inventory controls.
• Check loads are secure.
• Perform daily equipment checks on forklifts per OSHA guidelines.
• Remove machine attachments and waste material from machines.
• Examine products to verify conformance to quality standards.
• Dump materials into machine hoppers.
• Perform any other assigned duties.
