Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required, plus 1–3 months related experience or training.
• Professional, customer-sensitive attitude is required.
• Ability to read, write, and present information to customers and employees.
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs regularly, up to 100 lbs frequently, and more than 100 lbs occasionally.
• Duties include assembling cartons, wrapping items, labeling cartons, and recording inventory.

Responsibilities

• Assembles appropriate cartons for items to be packed.
• Wraps protective material around item, and inserts into cartons, to prevent breakage and damage.
• Closes, seals and appropriately label cartons and record on inventory.
• Packs and crates special items in specialized containers for customer, to prevent breakage and damage.
• Maintains material count by carton type.
