Job summary

Norsk Hydro in Connersville, IN is hiring for a production position on the B Crew. Starting rate is $19.51/hour. Day shift is EOWEO/2-2-3; 5:45 am–6:00 pm, permanent role.

You will read work orders and plans to determine tasks, safely operate equipment, lift and stack products, maintain efficiency and housekeeping, and accurately record counts. No high school diploma required; ability to work as part of a team and learn quickly is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma not required.
• Basic math skills: add, subtract, multiply, divide.
• Ability to read a tape measure.
• Ability to use a calculator.
• Ability to work well in a team.
• Willingness to learn and grow.

• Read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments or material or equipment needs.
• Read plans, instructions, or specifications to determine work activities.
• Safely and efficiently operates assigned equipment or machine.
• Lifts and stacks products.
• Maintains efficiency standards set for assigned areas.
• Maintains good housekeeping of work areas.
• Accurately record numbers or lengths of units handled or moved.
• Must be able to work long hours as needed in seasonal temperatures.
