Job summary

Santa Monica Seafood in Hodgkins, IL is seeking a Packer to support fresh fish packing operations. You will set up the packing area, prepare materials, and process products on designated machines to meet customer orders.

This role requires attention to detail and the ability to stand for extended periods in a refrigerated environment. Responsibilities include using packing materials, boxing products, and relocating finished goods to packing and transport areas under supervision.

Qualifications

Hours are 7:00AM-3:30PM (OT/ Weekends likely). Address: 6800 Santa Fe Drive (Suite L), Hodgkins, IL 60525

Summary:

Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the Packer is responsible for processing the highest quality of fresh fish to fulfil customer orders. Additionally, this individual is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe and efficient work area.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Set up work area
• Arrange packing materials
• Makes boxes
• Production Supervisor will assign what items are to be packed and what quantities.
• Process product on designated machines (places fish on container, putting sticker, and placing product into shipping boxes).
• Place processed product into transport containers and then into transport cart and move it to the packing station.
• When completed the Production supervisor will instruct the next assignment.
• Production Supervisor will also give instructions as to the specification of the product
• Cleaning and Sanitizing (if instructed by Production Supervisor)
• Tables, sinks, cutting boards, drains, curtains, floors, scales, etc.
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Minimum Of 1 Year Factory Related Experience Preferred.
