Job summary

Santa Monica Seafood Company in Hodgkins, IL is seeking a Packer to process high-quality fresh fish and maintain a clean, safe work area. The role involves setting up the packing area, preparing materials, and assembling shipping boxes for customer orders.

Responsibilities include operating designated packing machines, labeling, moving products to packing stations, and following supervisor instructions for product specifications.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year factory related experience preferred.

• Production Supervisor will assign what items are to be packed and what quantities.
• Process product on designated machines (places fish on container, putting sticker, and placing product into shipping boxes).
• Place processed product into transport containers and then into transport cart and move it to the packing station.
• When completed the Production supervisor will instruct the next assignment.
• Production Supervisor will also give instructions as to the specification of the product.
• Cleaning and Sanitizing (if instructed by Production Supervisor).
• Tables, sinks, cutting boards, drains, curtains, floors, scales, etc.
• Other duties as assigned
