Budnick Converting Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented packer to prepare and ship orders in Columbia, IL. You will read and follow quality work instructions, operate pallet jack, and use company software to locate materials and record throughput.
Flexible afternoon-evening shifts run Monday through Friday from 2:00pm to 10:00pm, with up to 29 hours per week; starting pay ranges from $16.00 to $19.00 per hour, depending on experience and math test results.
Position Purpose: Package orders according to quality work instructions.
Quantitative Data: Continuous lifting, moving, standing, and handling of production materials and equipment. Must have the capability of lifting up to 55 lbs. intermittently throughout the shift. Sufficient manual dexterity to operate machine properly. Physical ability to do work requiring frequent stooping and bending. Sufficient vision acuity (corrected) to read instructions, operate machines, and visually inspect parts produced.
Essential Functions:
Minimum Qualifications: All candidates must be able to read and write. Strong attention to detail is needed. Previous packing experience helpful, but not required.
Flexible Hours: Working anytime between 2:00pm - 10pm M-F, with no more than 29 hrs. per week.
Starting Salary: $16.00- $19.00/hr or higher depending on experience. Starting salary is dependent on experience and ability to pass a math test.
