Job summary

Valence Surface Technologies in Everett, WA is seeking a Packer 1 to join our manufacturing team on full-time, non-exempt hours. The role offers 1st-4th shift options and pays $20.77 per hour, with 10% or 15% shift differentials for certain shifts.

You will measure, weigh, and package products, inspect materials, keep documentation with each batch, and seal containers. Training is provided, no prior experience required, and benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, a 3% 401(k)

Job Overview

Location: Everett, WA

Type: Full-Time Non-Exempt (hourly)

Schedule: 1st Shift, 2nd Shift, 3rd Shift, or 4th shift

Pay: $20.77/hr. (+10% Shift Differential for 2nd Shift, +15% Shift Differential for 3rd Shift)

Valence Surface Technologies production is open 24 hours per day. All shifts are as follows: 1st shift (Monday-Friday 6:00am-2:30pm), 2nd shift (Monday-Friday 2:00pm-10:30pm, 3rd shift (Sunday-Thursday 10:00pm 6:30am), 4th shift (Friday-Sunday 6am-6pm)

Essential Functions

• Measure, weigh, and count products and materials.
• Examine and inspect containers, materials, and products in order to ensure that packing specifications are met.
• Ensure that all documentation is kept with the materials.
• Record product, packaging, and order information on specified forms and records. Seal containers or materials, using the stretch wrap, tape, and other packaging materials.
• Assemble, line, and pad cartons, crates, and containers using hand tools. Clean containers, materials, supplies, or work areas, using cleaning solutions and hand tools.
• Follow instructions from supervisor pertaining to specific instructions or tasks Ensure integrity of parts after processing (damage, scratches, etc.) Visually inspect parts to ensure the process has been completed correctly Perform other duties as assigned

Work Environment

Temperatures in the work environment can fluctuate with outside weather conditions. Due to the manufacturing environment, Personal Protection Equipment may be required including safety glasses, goggles, aprons, rubber boots, gloves, and a respirator (provided by Company).
