Job summary

Valence Surface Technologies, LLC in Seattle, WA is seeking a Packing/Packaging Associate to help maintain packing standards in a manufacturing setting. You will measure, weigh, count, inspect, and document activities to ensure compliance with packaging specifications.

Responsibilities

• Measure, weigh, and count products and materials.
• Examine and inspect containers, materials, and products to ensure packing specs.
• Ensure documentation is kept with materials.
• Record product, packaging, and order information on forms.
• Seal containers using stretch wrap and tape.
• Assemble, line, and pad cartons using hand tools.
• Clean containers, materials, supplies, or work areas.
• Follow supervisor instructions and ensure part integrity; visually inspect.

Essential Functions:

• Measure, weigh, and count products and ma terials.
• Examine and inspect containers, materials, and products in order to ensure that packing specifications are met.
• Ensure that all documentation is kept with the materials.
• Record product, packaging, an d order information on specified forms and re cords. Seal containers or materials, using the stretch wrap, tape, and other packaging materials.
• Assemble, line, and pad cartons, crates, and containers using hand tools. Clean containers, materials, supplies , or work areas, using cleaning solutions and hand tools.
• Follow instructions from supervisor pertaining to specific instructions or tasks Ensure integrity of parts after processing (damage, scratches, etc.) Visually inspect parts to ensure the proces s has been completed correctly Perform othe r duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Education: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
• Experience: None
• Compensation Range $21.30 to $ 23.00 per hour (DOE)
