Daikin Applied Americas is hiring at Daikin Applied - Dayton, OH for a manufacturing support role. Starting wage is $18.00 per hour with a Monday–Friday shift from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. The position involves crate preparation, material handling, and using WMS and scanners in a climate-controlled facility.

You will work under safety guidelines, read diagrams, perform precise math, and operate hand tools and equipment including forklifts. Growth opportunities and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Able to lift, push and pull in a fast-paced setting.
• Good reading and basic math skills, with attention to details.
• Proficient in reading English instructions and paperwork.

Responsabilidades

• Follows safety, policies, procedures and work instructions.
• Prepares, cuts, secures and assembles crates to prevent damage.
• Safely transport materials in facility using manual and powered equipment.
• Read diagrams, apply math, measure, and follow steps precisely.
• Use WMS, handheld scanners and basic computer programs daily.
• Identify quality issues and escalate accordingly.
• Meet safety, quality and productivity standards.
• Can lift/move up to 35 lbs consistently during shift.
• Maintain clean, organized work areas per 5S standards.
• Other duties as assigned.

Your Responsibilities

• Follows all safety and operational policies, procedures, and work instructions.
• Prepares, cuts, secures and assembles crates to prevent product damage.
• Safely transport materials throughout the facility using manual and Powered Industrial Vehicles (PIV), including pallet jack, forklift.
• Attention to detail with emphasis on reading diagrams, solid math skills, measuring devices and following step-by-step instructions.
• Uses basic computer programs, Warehouse Management System (WMS) functions, and handheld scanners to complete daily tasks.
• Identifies quality issues and escalates accordingly.
• Able to achieve safety, quality and productivity standards.
• Ability to physically complete tasks including lifting, moving, and carrying up to 35 lbs. consistently throughout shift.
• Maintains clean, organized work areas in accordance with 5S standards.
• Other duties as assigned.

Your Qualifications

• The ability to lift, push, and/or pull materials, stand for majority of the shift, and work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while maintaining proper PPE.
• The ability to use hand tools for extended periods of time.
• The ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• High School Education/GED OR Minimum 2 years of related experience in a manufacturing/production environment.
