Job summary

Wilsonart is seeking a grade 1 laminates inspector to assist with inspecting laminate, setting up tables, pallets and skids for inspection. Day shift 5am–5pm, weekends.

You will work under the Team Lead/Supervisor and perform basic duties including lifting heavy material and operating lifts. Qualified candidates have a High School Diploma or GED and at least one year of work experience, with the ability to read a tape measure to 16th and follow instructions.

Job Description:

This person will assist with inspecting laminate, setting up tables, pallets and skids for inspection process. Under the direction of the Team Lead/Supervisor. Perform other tasks as required. This is a grade 1 position, working days, 5am - 5pm, which includes weekends.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Flip laminate.
• Load and unload saws undefined
• Band pallets undefined
• Operate lifts
• Inspect laminate
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Set up tables, pallets and skids for inspection process.
• Move inspected material to staging area for MJ saw.
• Change saw blades when working on saws Basic computer skills

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES

• Knowledge of safety standards applicable to the work area.
• Ability to understand and follow instructions.
• Ability to read a tape measure (to 16th).

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION: High School Diploma or GED, or will accept one year of work history.

EXPERIENCE: One year of work experience.

WORKING CONDITIONS

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Continuous physical exertion is required, such as walking/pushing/climbing and lifting material or equipment of heavy weight (>50 lbs) Examples: grounds staff and EMS

ENVIRONMENT:

Located in an indoor area with frequent exposure to mild physical discomfort from dust, fumes, temperature extremes, loud noises and bright lights. Examples: mail clerks, material handlers and food service workers
