Norsk Hydro in North America is hiring for a production associate focused on packing aluminum extrusions, inspecting quality, and recording transactions in AS400. The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and meeting daily production targets.

Qualifications

• Previous manufacturing experience is an asset.
• Strong commitment to safety and recognizing workplace hazards.
• Ability to work in high-heat environments (approximately 30–35°C+).
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to read a tape measure.
• Basic mathematical skills and basic computer skills.
• Team-oriented with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Safely pack, band, and tag aluminum extrusions according to customer specifications.
• Perform visual inspections and use measuring tools to verify product quality.
• Follow packing instructions and complete production transactions in AS400.
• Meet daily production, quality, and safety expectations.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and work collaboratively with the production team.

Starting Rate of Pay:

• $20.00/hour

Shifts Available and Hours

• Day Shift: 6:0 AM – 6:0 PM
• 12-hour rotating schedule (36 hours one week, 48 hours the next; averaging 42 hours per week).
• This position requires working every other weekend.
