Amcor is seeking a dependable packer for a Sunday–Thursday schedule in Cranbury, NJ, with varied daily hours. The role involves preparing boxes, operating box machines, labeling and stacking finished products, and assisting with QA and safety procedures.

English literacy, punctuality, and the ability to meet deadlines are essential. Responsibilities include moving materials to staging, keeping areas tidy, relaying safety issues, and supporting the packing team during breaks.

Qualifications

• Ability to remember packing sequence and pack patterns.
• Ability to carry out work orders and make decisions on bottle jams.
• Must meet deadlines.
• Basic math skills for calculating number of bottles that fit into a box and for packing bottles in different sequences and numerical box labels.
• Proficient in speaking, writing and reading English.
• Punctuality required.
• Ready to begin packing immediately at the workstation.

Responsibilities

• Prepares boxes for packers.
• May be required to operate box machines, tape and glue type.
• Moves packed materials into staging area.
• Inspects bottles on assigned machines every 2 hours and records findings on check sheets.
• Verifies and labels packed boxes.
• Partial wraps all finished product after QA inspection and pallet tags.
• Transfers all palletized product to the warehouse using a hand truck.
• Relieves packers for breaks and lunch.
• Performs all machine repacks before the end of the shift.
• Reworks red‑tagged product at the machine when possible.
• Keeps bottles off the floor at all times.
• Keeps work area neat and clean.
• All open cartons must be covered.
• No extra boxes on the production floor.
• Brings out necessary supplies for assigned machines.
• Reports any accidents and/or safety issues to the supervisor immediately.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Overview

Schedule: Sunday-Thursday - Mon 8:15am-8:15pm, Tue 3:30pm-12am, Wed & Thurs 11:45pm-8:15am, Sun 7:15am-4:15pm
Pay: $16.13/hr
