Job summary

Amcor Flexibles, LLC is seeking a Packer/Handler in Indiana to visually inspect containers and lids, ensuring packaging meets Amcor quality standards in a safe, efficient manner. The role runs on a $20.00/hour day shift with a rotating 12-hour schedule (2-2-3).

The position requires attention to detail, the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and flexibility to work weekends and overtime as needed. You will support assembly, labeling, and material handling while maintaining a clean work area.

Qualifications

  • Must keep up with fast-paced production cycles.
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds safely and tolerate repetitive tasks.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays and overtime.
  • Able to identify alpha/numeric product codes.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a safe, clean and organized work area.
  • Inspect products to ensure quality and set aside products below quality standards.
  • Work closely with Leads and alert Mold Tech and Supervisor of any quality issues or reject conditions.
  • Watch molds for irregularities or sticking; timely response to quality issues is key.
  • Complete assembly of products by installing gaskets in lids and handles in containers as required while keeping up with the production machine cycles.
  • Stack and pack product per instructions that vary with different customers and orders.
  • Prepare proper product identification and/or packaging labels.
  • Assist with material handling and other tasks as needed.

Position Summary

The packer/handler assures by visual inspection that all containers and lids are manufactured and packaged according to Amcor quality standards and guidelines in a safe and efficient manner. This position is $20.00/hour on day shift 7a-7p rotating 12-hour schedule, 2-2-3.

Key Functions & Responsibilities
  • Maintain a safe, clean and organized work area.
  • Inspect products to ensure quality and set aside products below quality standards.
  • Work closely with Leads and alert Mold Tech and Supervisor of any quality issues or reject conditions.
  • Watch molds for irregularities or sticking; timely response to quality issues is key.
  • Complete assembly of products by installing gaskets in lids and handles in containers as required while keeping up with the production machine cycles.
  • Stack and pack product per instructions that vary with different customers and orders.
  • Prepare proper product identification and/or packaging labels.
  • Assist with material handling and other tasks as needed.
  • When the machine experiences an interruption in production, take this available time to clean up oil, sweep, mop, make boxes or other tasks that may be assigned by the team leader or supervisor.
  • Accurately complete any required paperwork.
  • Miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Must be able to keep up with the fast-paced production cycles. Position requires agility and consistent attention to detail. Able to tolerate constant repetition. Some workstations may require sitting or standing for long periods of time. Must be able to frequently lift, bend, and reach to perform necessary job functions. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds safely. Must be able to identify alpha / numeric product codes. Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays and over‑time.
