Job summary

Avient Corporation is seeking a motivated Production Associate in La Porte, IN (on-site) to operate weigh-up or packaging machinery and ensure product quality. You will support batch documentation, ingredient handling, and adhere to safety rules while meeting customer specifications.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED or equivalent training & experience.
• Industrial operations experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, or procedure manuals.
• Mathematical skills to add, subtract, multiply and divide; work with unit conversions.

Responsibilities

• Obtain correct documentation for the batch and ensure correct ingredients are delivered.
• Set up and start weigh-up or packaging machinery; verify controls for safety procedures.
• Notify appropriate personnel of issues in a timely manner.
• Safely process, batch, package and/or skid material to meet customer specifications.
• Supply materials to Production Operators to keep equipment operational.
• Maintain paperwork and follow safety/work rules; keep area organized.
